Comfort - Good Duability - Not so Good by Laura (June 04 2005)
Pros: Very easy to handle - they hold their shape when out of the eye and they do not turn inside out easily. Also, they are comfortable.
Cons: Durability issues - they appear to be prone to splitting and nicking.
Details: I've been wearing Johnson and Johnson contact lenses for 20 years. I decided to try Advance lenses when they were introduced. On the positive side, they are MUCH easier to handle than the old Accuvue lenses. I swear that they changed the old Accuvue when the "Advance" came out and made the old lenses thinner and VERY difficult to rinse and insert. On the bad side, since using "Advance" I have had 3 instances of the lenses spiltting - two of the times they were in my eye when it occured! In all my years of wearing regular Accuvue, I never had a lense split while I was wearing it.

Details: I love this lens, it is very healthy for my eyes, provides a lot of oxygen and I can't feel it in my eye all day long. Also the UV protection is supposed to be like SPF 40 vs. zero of most lenses
